The walk starts by the playground at the end of Main Street in Cambus. There are 2 perches after about 800m along this route. You will pass them again on the way back.The path has a tarmac surface for about three quarters of its length. About 1.5km of the trail is on farm tracks that are rutted, uneven and muddy in places. At Alloa West Business Park bear right to follow the circuit  towards the River Forth and Orchard Famr. The road and pavement straight ahead lead to Smithfield Loan about 200m away.
