Route Filmstrip & Description

This trail follows an old railway line from Devonside (Tillicoultry) to Dollar with excellent views of the River Devon and the Ochils. The path is more or less flat for the first 3Km then there is a 18% (1:6) gradient for about 20m. The trail is then mainly flat as far as Dollar. The link paths into Dollar are a little uneven.There is only one resting area at about 2Km from the start. Ther are occasional spots where the path surface is a little uneven. Check out the trail photographs.As an out-and-back route you can go as far as you like before turning for home.

The path is generally wide enough for two people to walk side by side but there are a few stretches where the surface is only about 1m wide.
