Route Filmstrip & Description

The trails starts near the Grizdale Visitor Centre. It has a tarmac surface throughout with one gradient along the path at 10% (1:10) for 20m but then there are no slopes steeper than 8% (1:12) though there are occasional cross gradients as steeps as 4% (1:25).There are nine opportunities to rest and use the various different seats provided along the trail but they are not evenly distributed along the route.

The trail has a tarmac surface throughout. It is wide enough for two people to walk side by side except in a few places where vegetation or broken edges narrow the path for short stretches. The path runs along the side of a hill for most of its length and has cross gradients in excess of 4% (1:25) in a few places
