Sensing Nature Sound Trail - Thornham Woods

Exploring the nature of sound and sound in nature. Friday 30 June – 5pm Saturday 1 July – 12pm, 2.30pm, 4.30pm Come and experience a ground-breaking aural experience focusing on sounds – natural, composed and improvised – created by musicians who rely on their hearing. The Sensing Nature Sound Trail performances will take place along wheelchair-friendly paths through Thornham Woods. Audiences will gather at the Walled Garden and be led along the paths through this peaceful woodland setting. They will walk in silence from location to location to listen to the newly-composed music mingling with real sounds of nature. Sighted members of the audience are invited to wear blindfolds to fully enter into the experience. Blindfolds will be available and trained guides will be on hand to assist anyone who chooses to experience the performance in this way.
