Battlefield Heritage Park is the site of the Battle of Shrewsbury fought between King Henry IV and the rebel Henry Percy (commonly called Harry Hotspur) in 1403. The site is located just off the A49/A53 intersection near Shrewsbury (Explorer Map 241, Grid Reference 507168). For most part, the paths are well-surfaced across a level gradient. During wet weather visitors may find that in some areas the paths are rough, uneven and narrow. There are a number of gates to negotiate along the trails and the kissing gate at the entrance may restrict wheelchair users.
