There are Blue Badge parking spaces and disabled toilets available. There is a bit of a climb to from the car park to the dam level with a 40m stretch with a gradient of about 16% (1:6) and there are a few short sections with gradients p to 14% (1:7).The path surface is firm but has loose stones in places. The path is generally wide enough for two people to walk side by side and where it narrows there are passing places to allow people to pass each other in comfort. The only seats are at the viewing area at the end of the trail from where osprey may occasionally be seen.
